Abby Nieman, CPNP

I am a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate,
evidence-based care to children and families. I earned my undergraduate degree from the
University of Tennessee and completed my Master’s degree at Vanderbilt University, where I
obtained my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner–Primary Care certification.

My clinical background includes pediatric gastroenterology, primary care, urgent care, and years
of specialized experience in Allergy and Immunology. I have a focused interest in pediatric food
allergies, eczema, and asthma management, and I have completed additional certification in the
diagnosis and management of IgE- and non-IgE–mediated food allergies through the F.A.R.E.
Institute. My passion for navigating the complexities of food allergies is both professional and
personal, as I was diagnosed with celiac disease at a young age. This perspective allows me to
deeply empathize with families managing chronic conditions while providing meaningful
education and equipping parents with the knowledge and skills they need to confidently support
their child’s health and long-term success.

Outside of the clinic, I am actively involved in Young Life, a ministry I deeply love and support
alongside my husband, who serves as the Area Director of Young Life in Johnson City. I also
enjoy tackling DIY home projects, staying active, and spending time outdoors with my husband
and our three children.
